☆♥ Fall 2013 Makeup Trends ♥☆

☆ Fall 2013 Makeup Trends

Matte Lips -
If you’re sticking to bright lip colors for fall, go for ones with a totally shine-free finish. To keep the shade super vibrant (and prevent it from smudging) use a liner in a matching color to fill in your lips before applying the lipstick!
Try: NYX Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Perfect Red, $5.99, ulta.com

Barely There Makeup -
Show off your glowing summer skin by skipping the heavy makeup for your first day! Instead, just dab on some concealer to hide any red spots and make your eyes look brighter by putting a touch of shimmery white shadow at the inner corners. You’ll be out the door in under a minute!
Try: EyeLighter, $20, cargocosmetics.com

Major Lashes -
For an incredibly flirty vibe on your first day back, try a few falsies! Individual lashes will open up your eyes and add a little extra volume to your lashes without looking totally fake. Just add a swipe of mascara to blend them with your natural lashes, and stick to minimal makeup elsewhere to avoid seeming overdone.
Try: Ardell Durlash Individual Lashes, $3.49, soap.com

Purple Peepers -
If you haven’t embraced violet eye makeup yet, it’s time. Fall’s hottest hues are smoky lavenders and plums, so they’re incredibly easy to pull off! Try smudging a thin line of purple all the way around your eyes and finishing with a soft black mascara to subtly ease into the trend.
Try: CoverGirl Liquiline Blast Eyeliner in Violet Voltage, $6.31, drugstore.com

Burnt Rose Gloss -
For your first day back, skip the neon lipstick and bubblegum-pink balms and opt for a sheer, rose-colored gloss instead! Paired with taupe eyeshadow and a tousled braid, this look is the perfect boho-glam combo.
Try: Buxom Full-Bodied Lip Gloss in YOW, $19, sephora.com

Orange Shadow -
If you rarely stray from your palette of brown and tan eye shadows, a trendy shade of orange is a great stepping stone for experimenting with brightly colored makeup! It’s just as flattering as neutral tones, and you can pair it with your fave black liner to make your eyes really pop.
Try: theBalm Overshadow in You Buy I’ll Fly, $15, beauty.com

Deep Berry Coloured Lips -
Don’t be scared to rock a dark lipstick this fall! If an opaque cream formula feels a bit too intense for class, pick one that starts out sheer but can be layered to get your ideal shade.
Try: OCC Lip Tar in Black Dahlia, $18, occmakeup.com

Gray Smoky Eye -
Make a statement from day one with a completely glam smoky eye look! Use gray shadows with just a hint of sparkle to keep it soft enough for daytime.
Try: Maybelline Expert Wear Trios in Impeccable Greys, $4.49, target.com

Smudged Liner -
Great news—now it’s chic to let your liner run a little bit! Use a soft kohl pencil to trace your lower waterline, then smudge it out with a makeup sponge for an extremely edgy and perfectly un-perfect vibe.
Try: e.l.f Studio Kohl Eyeliner, $3, eyeslipsface.com

Double-Winged Liner -
As pretty as it is, classic cat eye liner may be a bit too predictable for your first day back. To take this look from basic to brilliant, just add a second, thinner swipe of liquid liner directly underneath your everyday wing!
Try: Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner, $20, sephora.com
